This work carries a dual meaning: “abstracted by spring” and “expressing spring abstractly.” It’s also the title of my solo exhibition held around this time last year.
Using vibrant colors to represent spring, I depicted the artist’s heart—swayed and mesmerized by spring—in an abstract image. While being part of the same series, I experimented with slightly different styles in each piece.
Though it feels like spring has arrived, the reality suggests otherwise… Amid the chaos of various circumstances, I pray that a true spring will blossom in my heart and yours.
이번 작품은 ‘봄에 취하다’ 와 ‘봄을 추상적으로 표현하다’ 라는 중의적인 의미를 가지고 있으며, 작년 이맘때 열렸던 제 개인전의 타이틀이기도 합니다.
봄을 표현하는 화려한 색상들로 봄에 취해 흐느적대는 작가의 마음을 추상적 이미지로 묘사했으며, 같은 시리즈지만 작품마다 조금씩 다른 스타일을 사용해 보았습니다.
봄이 온 듯 하지만 봄이 아닌 현실.. 여러가지 상황이 어우러져 혼란스러운 저와 여러분의 마음속에도 진정한 봄이 오기를 기도해봅니다.
